Introduction
When making a purchase, we want the best things for the money we paid. The same concept can be applied when building a custom PC. We spend hours upon hours choosing the best possible CPU and GPU combination for our build. Sadly, most people leave the casing to the end and it usually ends up as the most neglected part of the entire computer. Even when users make sure to get a PC case with good cooling, they usually overlook other aspects.
One of such aspects is cable management. Building a PC from scratch is intimidating as it is, especially for first-timers. A case that provides great cable management not only makes the entire build process much easier but also helps give the overall setup a cleaner look. It’s only fitting that something that we spent so much money and effort on looks amazing as well.
One last thing that we want you to consider is the size of your case. As a general rule of thumb, your case can be the same size or larger than your motherboard. There are 4 common sizes of motherboards and their corresponding PC cases. In order of smallest to largest, they are; mini ATX, micro ATX, standard ATX, or extended ATX. We recommend getting a case that is just one size larger than your motherboard so that you have enough space for cable management.

Asus’ TUF line-up includes upper mid-ranged gaming-oriented products like motherboards and laptops. The ASUS TUF GT501 PC case is one of their best cases for cable management with some extra useful features. A lot of them are targeted towards gamers, so if you are building a high-end gaming setup then you should definitely consider this case.
Asus has given special emphasis on cable management for this case to make your life easier. You get the usual features like a PSU shroud for hiding cables and storage mounting brackets. But there are also some other pretty neat additions like Velcro wraps, grommets, and holes for cable routing. The size of this case is EATX, so you have a ton of space for cable management.
This case also comes with 3 included 120mm RGB fans for the intake and one regular 140mm fan for the exhaust. You can also install 3 other fans for maximum cooling. The RGB technology used is Aura sync which provides you the option for ultimate customizability. You also get the option for custom water cooling. There are 3 options to mount your radiator. The one at the top and front can support a radiator of up to 360mm, while the back can support a radiator of up to 140mm.
Some other features of this case include a 4mm-thick smoked, tempered-glass full view side panel, Vertical GPU expansion slot, and a cotton wool handle for carrying the case. The design of this case is absolutely stunning and it comes in either a black or white color variant, although the white one is a bit more expensive. The dimensions of this case are 25.2 x 25.8 x 13.3 inches and it weighs 26 pounds.

The MSI MPG GUNGNIR 100 PC Case, is also an upper mid-ranged case like the ASUS TUF. The TUF may be a bit more expensive, but this is in no way a cheap case as it uses premium materials and charges you the price tag for it as well. It has a special emphasis on style and design. It provides some pretty attractive features, but you’ll be paying a premium for them.
The cable management in this case is excellent. Since this is also an EATX case, there is plenty of room. One thing that you need to do is that install the PSU as late as possible in the build process since it’s really close to the hard drive bracket which makes installing cables a bit difficult after the installation. Otherwise, you won’t have any problems when it comes to properly organize the cables.
There are 4 120 mm ARGB fans included with 3 of which are the intake, while one of them is the exhaust. The RGB is MSI’s Mustic Light which gives you the option to customize the RGB. You can add 3 more fans, but we don’t recommend doing so unless you have really high-end components. The custom water-cooling option is also pretty good as you get the option for up to a 420 mm radiator in the front or a 240/280 mm radiator on the top.
There are many more features that make this case a much better deal. Some of these include a bundled 1 to 8 ARGB LED HUB, 4mm tinted side glass panels, and additional RGB strips around the casing. The size of this case is 20.1 x 8.9 x 20.7 inches and it weighs 25 pounds.

NZXT is known for making high-end cases with amazing designs. Their H510 is one of the more budget-oriented options and we think that it’s a really good option for those who want a mid-ranged PC case, which looks amazing and has great cable management.
The case can support a motherboard of up to an ATX size and it’s pretty spacious from the inside. The cable management is some of the best we have seen in any case, even when comparing it to higher-end models. Since design a big selling factor, in this case, they have made sure to make the cable management pretty simple for almost everyone. Most people, especially those building their PC for the first time will appreciate the routing kits as well as the pre-installed channels.
The cooling capabilities of this case are the weakest point. You only get two fans, which won’t be sufficient for higher-end builds. They aren’t RGB, but that’s probably because NZXT wanted to maintain the clean aesthetics of this case. Moreover, the front panel also has minimal slots for intake which makes airflow a bit difficult. These problems aren’t that serious, since lower to mid-ranged build won’t even be bothered by it. But you should still know about them, especially if you’re looking into getting higher-end components like the RTX series graphic cards so that you can invest in more fans. Luckily, you get support for custom water cooling so if you’re looking into getting a higher-end system, it’s still possible with this case.
Some other features of this case include a USB-C port, which is something that not even the more expensive entries had. This case also has a side glass panel, which makes it much more appealing to look at as well as multiple color options, with an all-black version, a black exterior one with a red interior, and an all-white variant. Moreover, all of them cost the same so you can choose whichever suits your aesthetics better without paying extra. The dimensions of this case are 16.85 x 8.27 x 18.11 inches and it weighs 17.5 pounds.
Rosewill ATX PC Computer Case (Great Cable Management)
- 3 sides of sleek and sturdy tempered glass in front and both sides to show off hardware and internal components
- Customizable and ventilated PSU shroud basement supports 3 x 80mm fans to promote heat dissipation
- Excellent airflow from 4 pre-installed 120mm blue LED cooling fans; supports up to 2 additional 140mm fans on top or 6 total 120mm case fans; ventilate and keep your system temperatures low
- Optional 360mm radiator liquid cooling support in front; optional 280mm radiator clearance on top; supports up to 170mm tall CPU cooler
If you’re looking for a very simple and budget case that just gets the job done, then we would recommend checking out the Rosewill ATX Mid Tower Gaming PC Computer Case. It actually has some nice flashy features, such as blue led lights, water cooling and tempered glass, and that too at a very affordable price, but it’s just a reliable case that makes it hard to not recommend!
The cable management of this casing is seemingly good, and we would say that it is comparable to the ones found in other higher-end models. However, installation may be a bit of a pain unless you are going to use longer cables on this one since the glass planel and the wall are a bit too slim. If you’re okay with spending a bit more time routing the cables then this one is truly an excellent choice!
The cooling system in this case is one of the best we have seen for the price. There are 4 included blue LED fans, out of which 3 are for the intake and 1 for the exhaust. You can also add 2 additional fans for a total of 6 fans. Your CPU cooler can be up to 170mm tall. You also have support for water cooling, with an option to mount a 360mm radiator at the front or a 280mm one at the top. It’s safe to say that no matter what setup you plan on running, this case will easily be able to cool it.
Another noteworthy feature that you get with this case is its amazing design. A mixture of the front and side tempered glass panel, as well as the metal build, makes this case really attractive. Along with that, you get 3 Internal 3.5″ Drive Bays and 2 Internal 2.5″ Drive Bays. The dimensions of this case are 8.54 x 19.57 x 18.78 inches and it weighs a bit more than 22 pounds. Overall, this is a really easy recommendation, as you get amazing features for a really good price.
Thermaltake Versa H22 Case (Advanced Cable Management)

- Keep your cool with three 120mm aura Sync rgb-illuminated fans, one 140mm rear PWM fan, and up to seven optional fan-mounting points Custom Liquid Cooling ready with support for top or front mounted 360mm radiators, rear mounted 140mm radiator, and pre-drilled water pump/reservoir mounting holes
- Ergonomic, woven-cotton carry handles enable easy and safe transport up to 65lbs

If you didn’t like the other mid-tower cases, then you should look towards the Thermaltake Versa H22. It comes in around the same price range, providing some great features for the price.
When designing the cable management system for the H22, Thermaltake made sure to make it as simple as possible. Most people will probably be buying this case as their first custom PC, so they wouldn’t want the hassle of difficult cable management. In order to simplify everything, they tried to reduce the number of extra features and only kept the things that are necessary and that people will actually use. The entire assembly of the PC can be done without any tools, which makes the process much easier. Since it is an ATX case, it also has plenty of space to work with, which will be especially useful when cable managing.
The cooling system is excellent as well with a perforated metal top and front panel, as well as an included rear exhaust fan, all of which ensures proper airflow. Just like the CoolerMaster, this doesn’t support liquid cooling, but that’s to be expected from a case in this price range.
You also get mounting brackets for multiple storage drives. The dimensions of this case are 16.9 x 8.2 x 18.9 inches and it weighs about 12 pounds. One of the only things we didn’t like about this case is the design since it’s a bit too plain, but that’s up to everyone’s personal opinion.
Final Words
We reviewed some pretty amazing cases. All of them are unique, but each of them provides amazing cable management. Most people will have a hard time deciding amongst these excellent choices, so we have shortlisted 2 of our favorites and then you can decide which one you like the most.
Our favorite has to be the MSI MPG GUNGNIR 100. It’s just a really good case, which has almost no downsides considering you can afford the slightly high price tag. Everything from the cable management to the design and cooling is done perfectly. It’s a really easy case to recommend, and you should definitely consider buying it.
We understand that not everyone wants to spend a lot of money on a PC case which is why we reviewed the Thermaltake Versa H22 which is a simple yet effective case for cable management. It has plenty of space for handling different cables and offers the best value for the money! If you want to go with a more economic option, the Versa H22 is a really good deal!
The other cases we reviewed were also pretty good, but only narrowly missed out on a few features, which stopped them from being our favorite. The ASUS TUF Gaming GT501 was the first entry on our list and it looks like a very promising case. The only reason it missed out was that the MSI is a bit cheaper while providing essentially the same features. As for the NZXT H510, it probably did have the best cable management, but its average airflow was its downfall, which made us pick the other options. Lastly, the Thermaltake Versa H22 was also an amazing case for the price, but it’s boring design kept us from choosing it as our best budget pick.
