With all the different devices each person owns, it can get hard to keep track of everything, as well as sync all of your files for accessibility.

However, if you own an Android phone and a Windows PC, this actually isn’t a problem!

Through the Link To Windows and Phone Link applications, Microsoft has made syncing more accessible than ever.

Read on to find out all of the steps you need to follow to pair your Android phone to your Windows PC!

Can You Pair Your Android Phone to a Windows PC?

Yes, you can actually pair your Android phone to a Windows PC!

This is done through the Link To Windows mobile application you can find on certain Android phones.

The Link To Windows mobile application then connects to the Link To Windows application on your Windows PC.

The Link To Windows application should be pre-installed on your Windows PC, since it comes as part of the main features in the Windows software.

Once you pair through the Link To Windows and Phone Link applications on your phone and Windows PC respectively, you should be able to sync everything.

However, not all Android phones will have full functionality when it comes to pairing with a Windows PC.

Currently, only Surface Duo and Samsung Galaxy mobile devices have full functionality when pairing with a Windows PC.

Most other Android mobile devices can still pair to a Windows PC using the Link To Windows application, but, as of this writing, they only have access to some pairing features, not all of them.

Which Android Phones Are Supported by the Link To Windows Application?

Now you’re probably wondering, which Android phones are supported by the Link to Windows application?

If so, there’s no need to worry!

Microsoft has compiled a list of all the supported devices for the Link To Windows mobile application, which you can check out here.

The list is divided into four different categories.

The first is the list of supported devices that have the Link To Windows mobile application pre-installed. In general, these are Samsung, Surface Duo, and HONOR devices with version 9.0 or later of Android software.

Please note that, if your device doesn’t have the Link To Windows application pre-installed, that doesn’t necessarily mean it’s not supported.

The second is the list of devices that support the syncing of your Android phone’s screen to your Windows PC.

The third is the list of devices that support the syncing of applications across your Android phone and Windows PC.

The fourth is the list of devices that support RCS messaging through the pairing software. However, this also depends on your mobile operator network and what country you are in.

What If Your Phone Doesn’t Have the Link To Windows Application Pre-Installed?

First, check what version of Android software your phone has. If it’s running Android 7.0 or newer versions, you should be able to install the Link To Windows mobile application.

In the past, Microsoft had special shortened links that you could use to quickly find the Link To Windows application, which used to be known as the Your Phone application.

These links included www.aka.ms/linkyourphone and www.aka.ms/linkphone

However, as of now, they do not work consistently.

But don’t worry!

Simply search “Link To Windows” in the Google Play Store or click on this link here, and you should then be able to install the application.
